The Independent Reviewer of the Life Insurance Code of Practice (the Life Code) has today welcomed stakeholder feedback on the Consultation Paper issued in October 2025.
Organisations and individuals were invited to make submissions in response to the Consultation Paper by 15 December 2025. The review received 10 public submissions, some representing multiple organisations, which are now available on the Life Code Review website (lifecodereview.org.au).
Independent Reviewer Peter Kell thanked all organisations and individuals who took the time to contribute to the consultation.
“The submissions provide valuable insights and constructive suggestions that will assist me in assessing how effectively the Life Code is operating in practice,” Mr Kell said. “I am carefully considering the feedback as part of the review process.”
An interim report will be published in late March 2026. This report will outline preliminary findings and potential areas for improvement and will provide a further opportunity for stakeholder feedback.
A final report will be provided to the Council of Australian Life Insurers by 30 June 2026.
