Consultation approach
The Life Code review will be informed by the views of Australian customers, insurers, consumer advocates, regulators and the wider community.
The consultation process has been designed to support open and transparent conversations that reflect a diversity of perspectives to help ensure that the Life Code remains relevant, practical and meets community expectations. The consultation paper to help guide submissions was made available on this website on 17 October. Stakeholders have had eight weeks to send in submissions, due by 15 December 2025.
The final Life Code review report will be provided to CALI in June 2026. CALI is committed to a transparent and inclusive consultation process and will carefully consider all recommendations in this report to improve the Life Code for the benefit of millions of Australians and the broader industry.
